    Tragic Domestic Dispute in Katigorah: Husband Killed, Wife in Custody

    A tragic domestic dispute unfolded in Burunga village, Katigorah, Cachar district, on Friday. Sajal Sinha, originally from Karimganj, had been living with his in-laws in Burunga for some time.

    The incident occurred around noon when a heated argument between Sajal and his wife, Subarna Sinha, escalated into violence. During the altercation, Subarna allegedly attacked Sajal, resulting in severe injuries. Sajal was rushed to Sonapur Health Centre for medical treatment, but despite the efforts of the medical team, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

    The local police, led by officer Rupam Das, responded quickly to the scene and apprehended Subarna Sinha. She has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned by authorities regarding the incident. The news of Sajal’s death has left the community in shock, as neighbors and family members struggle to come to terms with the tragedy.

    This incident has highlighted the serious issue of domestic violence in the region, sparking discussions about the need for increased awareness and support for victims. Community leaders and local organizations are urging residents to seek help and report any signs of domestic abuse to prevent such tragedies in the future. The police investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
