Cachar Police Seize 30,000 Yaba Tablets in Special Operation

Authorities Uncover Massive Drug Haul and Seize Vehicle in Crackdown on Illegal Narcotics Transportation

In a major crackdown on narcotic transportation, Cachar Police conducted a special operation on the evening of July 27, 2024. The operation took place in the Katakhal area, under the jurisdiction of Dholai Police Station. During the operation, police apprehended Abdul Alim, a 42-year-old resident of Saptagram village. They recovered a staggering 30,000 Yaba tablets from his possession. The black market value of these drugs is estimated to be around 9 crores.

The seized narcotics were transported illegally from Aizawl, Mizoram. In addition to the drugs, police also confiscated a Scooty with registration number AS 11 V/4890, which was used in the transportation of the narcotics. The investigation into this case is still ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details.
