Bangladeshi Jihadi group AQIS setting thier traps in Assam to brainwash residents of Assam and form a powerful Islamic state.
In last 24 hours Assam police arrests nine persons allegedly in conniction with terror extrimist organisation Al-Qaida’s Bangladesh sub group AQIS. Among them two persons are from Morigaon and Goalpara and other seven people are detained from Barpeta and Guwahati on July 28.
Around 20 persons suspected of having links with Ansar al Islam, Bangladesh chapter of were arrested in the state within last three months for allegedly carrying out jihadi activities in Assam.
The Islamic fundamentalist group of Ansar al Islam, Bangladesh chapter of Al Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) has been also found to be publishing the ‘ideological literatures’ of AQIS in Bangla language.
Assam police who have launched a crackdown on the various modules of the Ansar alIslam, Bangladesh in the state believed that the translated publications were being distributed amongst youngsters to radicalize them in Jihad.
Director general of police (DGP), Assam, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, “Jawahari himself in a video message asked to do ‘Hijra’ in Assam which means ‘go to Assam’. It is a little disturbing fact. Another disturbing fact is that AQIS’s magazine has been found to be published in Bangla language in a bid to radicalize people.”
Earlier, Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri has announced in a videoed message the creation of an Indian branch of his militant group to “raise the flag of jihad” across South Asia.
