CM Himanta Biswa Sharma states that MP Parimal Suklabaidyaparimal suklabaidya will decide BJP’s candidate for the Dholai by-election during a public event in Barjalenga.
On Thursday afternoon, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma announced that BJP MP Parimal Suklabaidya will choose the party’s candidate for the upcoming Dholai by-election. The announcement was made during a public event at the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ ceremony for a new government model degree college in Barjalenga, Cachar.
The Chief Minister allocated ₹35 crore for the college’s construction and announced several development projects for the Dholai constituency. He revealed plans to distribute 15,000 Arunoday schemes in Dholai, with each ration cardholder receiving the benefit. Additionally, 5,000 Arunoday schemes will be given from Parimal Suklabaidya’s quota, as he has been elected as a Member of Parliament.
To ensure that beneficiaries can access the Arunoday scheme, the Chief Minister also mentioned plans to expedite the issuance of Aadhaar cards for those who have not yet received them.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, MP Parimal Suklabaidya, MLAs Kaushik Rai, Mihir Kanti Shome, Dipayan Chakraborty, Deputy Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha, Police Superintendent Numal Mahatta, BJP leader Bimlendu Roy, Amitabh Rai amon others.
