Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma inaugurates a new 20-bed cardiac ICU at Silchar Medical College and inspects ongoing construction projects.
On the third day of his Barak Valley tour, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma visited Silchar Medical College and Hospital on Saturday. During his visit, he inaugurated a new 20-bed Cardiac ICU ward at the medical college.
Following the inauguration, CM Sharma inspected the ongoing construction of new buildings at the medical college. He reviewed the progress of these projects by consulting with relevant department officials.
The Chief Minister also participated in a review meeting held in the conference room of the medical college. The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Principal of the Medical College; Jayanta Mall Barua, Minister of State for Cachar; Promil Shukla Baidya, Chairman of the Hospital Management Committee and Silchar MP; Koishik Roy, MLA of Lakshmipur; Mihir Kanti Som, MLA of Udharbond; Dipayan Chakraborty, MLA of Silchar; and Rohan Kumar Jha, District Magistrate of Cachar, among others.
The visit and the review meeting focused on the development and improvement of healthcare facilities in the region.
