Katigorah police arrested 6 dacoits in two separate raids in the very early morning of Wednesday. The dacoits have been identified as Sharif Uddin @ Dev, Ariful Islam, Abdul Hassan, Sarimul Islam @ Babul, Ali Noor and Selim Uddin.
The increasing number of robbery incidents in the Katigorah area of Cachar district has created a record in the recent past. Joseph Keivom the OC of Katigorah police station conducted two separate raids at Tintikuri and Sarishakuri area with police and CRPF to bust the gang of the hitlist dacoits on Tuesday late night.
The dacoit gang have recently committed multiple robberies in many houses and on national highways. Joseph Keivom the OC of Katigorah police station said, “dacoity.”
