The protest march began at Rangirkhari Point and passed through several streets before reaching the Khudiram Bose statue on Club Road, where candles were lit in memory of the deceased doctor.
The march saw participation from thousands, including students, youth, and members of various organizations. Protesters held placards and banners, chanting slogans like “balatkari ko fansi do, Moumita ko nyay do” demanding capital punishment for those responsible and justice for the victim.
At Club Road, the protesters lit candles at the base of the Khudiram Bose statue, praying for the deceased doctor’s soul to rest in peace. Speakers at the event criticized the West Bengal government’s handling of the case and demanded swift justice.
