Udharbond Police Arrest Three for Theft, Recover Stolen Items

Special Operation Leads to Arrests and Recovery of Mobile Phones, Cigarettes, and a Goat

Udharbond Police arrest three for theft, recover stolen items including mobile phones, cigarettes, and a goat, buried under a Chulha in suspects’ kitchen

Several theft cases were reported to Udharbond Police Station this morning. The investigation revealed thefts in two houses and attempts in another two houses near J.C. Girls College Road. In response, the police conducted a special operation in the evening and arrested three suspects.

  • Saddam Hussain Laskar (28 years old), son of the late Tuta Mia Laskar, resident of Natun Dayapur, Udharbond.
  • Babu Uddin Laskar (32 years old), son of the late Pakhi Mia Laskar, resident of Natun Dayapur, Udharbond.
  • Raj Dey (25 years old), son of Dilip Dey, resident of Assamese Basti, Silchar.

During the operation, the police recovered the following items from their possession:

  • Two mobile phones
  • Thirty-one packets of Gold Flake cigarettes
  • One goat

Interestingly, the stolen items were found buried in the kitchen under the chulha. The police have forwarded the accused to the Honorable Court for further proceedings.

The swift action by the Udharbond Police has brought relief to the affected residents and demonstrated their commitment to maintaining law and order.
