Barak Valley Wing Chun Kung Fu Association Concludes Two-Day Black Belt Examination

The Barak Valley Wing Chun Kung Fu Martial Art Association successfully concluded its rigorous two-day Black Belt examination on Sunday, culminating in a significant achievement for martial artists across the valley. The final results were announced following the completion of the ultimate test.

National Expert Oversees the Examination
The examination was presided over by Sifu Shankar Dutta, a highly experienced national-level martial artist and the esteemed Secretary of the All India Wing Chun Martial Art Association. Sifu Dutta served as the Chief Examiner for the event.

Trainees from across the Barak Valley zone, aspiring to achieve the prestigious Black Belt, gathered and performed their demonstrations at the sports field of Palanghat CCJC Higher Secondary School.

Fourteen New Black Belts Awarded
A total of 14 candidates successfully appeared and passed the challenging examination this year.

Sifu Shankar Dutta noted the significance of this batch, stating that this is the third Black Belt examination held in the Barak Valley. Previously, a total of 29 martial artists had successfully passed the examination across the first two phases. With this latest batch, the number of Black Belt holders in the region continues to grow.

Key Figures at the Ceremony
The examination process was smoothly facilitated by a team of experienced Sifus, including Sifu Raju Bhowmik, Sifu Pritam Kumar Nath, and Sifu Sujan Biswas, among others.

The subsequent Belt Distribution and Oath-Taking Ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including:

  • Pulak Das: President of the Barak Valley Wing Chun Kung Fu Martial Art Association.
  • Apratim Kaund: In-Charge of the Palanghat Police Post.

Both Sifu Shankar Dutta and Pulak Das addressed the newly certified Black Belts and their parents, alongside a representative guardian, highlighting the importance of discipline, dedication, and using their skills responsibly.
