The Wing Chun Kung Fu Martial Arts Association, Barak Valley Zone, commenced its highly anticipated two-day Black Belt examination today, November 15. The examination, a significant event for the region’s martial arts community, is taking place at the playground of Palanghat CCJC Higher Secondary School in South Cachar.
National Expertise Oversees Rigorous Test
The rigorous examination is being supervised by a panel of experienced marshals, led by Sifu Shankar Dutta. Sifu Dutta is the Secretary of the All India Wing Chun Martial Art Association and brings vast national-level expertise as the Chief Examiner for the event.
A total of 14 candidates from South Cachar are currently vying for the prestigious Black Belt rank. They are being assessed on various skills, techniques, and disciplines essential to Wing Chun Kung Fu.
Examination Schedule and Results
The testing process, which began today, will conclude tomorrow, November 16. The final results of the Black Belt examination will be declared on the same day following the conclusive testing session.
Sifu Dutta highlighted the growing enthusiasm for Wing Chun in the region, noting that 29 marshals from the Barak Valley have previously earned their Black Belts over two prior examination cycles.
The examining panel assisting Sifu Dutta includes experienced marshals such as Sifu Raju Bhowmik, Sifu Pritam Kumar Nath, and Sifu Sujan Bishwas, ensuring a fair and comprehensive assessment of all participants.
