Over 100 Participants Unite for Yoga, Peace, and Wellness

Silchar Radiates Unity Through Yoga Celebration Silchar actively celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day on Friday. The event, themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” took place at India Club Indoor Stadium.

Importantly, the event promoted health, harmony, and peace. Moreover, participants displayed unity through yoga practice with strong enthusiasm.

Dignitaries Support Yoga’s Role in Daily Life The National AYUSH Mission and Cachar District Administration organized the event. In total, over 100 students, officials, and community members joined.

First, Chief Guest Mr. Kaushik Rai highlighted yoga’s deep impact. “Yoga offers more than exercise; it is a complete lifestyle,” he said.

Furthermore, MP Mr. Parimal Suklabaidya stressed its importance. He stated that yoga helps reduce stress, anxiety, and lifestyle-related diseases.

Additionally, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Kanhad Purkayastha emphasized yoga’s scientific and global value. Clearly, yoga reflects India’s cultural and intellectual leadership.

Mass Participation Inspires Public Awareness Participants began with a group prayer. Then, they performed synchronized yoga postures. Through each movement, they shared peace and awareness.

Also, notable figures like MLA Mr. Dipayan Chakraborty and SP Mr. Numal Mahatta actively participated. Significantly, their involvement encouraged the public.

Young Achievers Shine During Felicitation Ceremony Later, winners of the 2025 district-level asana competition received honors. As a result, their focus, balance, and calm left the crowd inspired.

Yoga Should Become a Daily Habit, Say Officials Zilla Parishad CEO Mr. Pranab Kumar Bora delivered a meaningful message. He urged citizens to adopt yoga in daily routines.

“Don’t limit yoga to this single day,” he insisted. “Instead, practice it regularly—at home, at school, and at work.”
