Rajasthan’s Young Cyclist Pappu Ram Choudhary Reaches Cachar with Everest Dream, Green Mission

Date:

Silchar, Assam: Silchar witnessed an inspiring moment on Monday as Rajasthan-based young cyclist Pappu Ram Choudhary rode into Cachar, completing another leg of his nationwide cycling expedition. After traversing more than 38,000 kilometres, his journey blends endurance sports with a strong call for environmental responsibility.

Cycling under the banner of the Shakti Sankalp Safar – Mount Everest Cycling Expedition, Choudhary’s mission focuses on motivating India’s youth through fitness, discipline, and social commitment.

The expedition spans 21 states and six Union Territories, making it one of the most demanding cycling journeys attempted by a young Indian athlete. For Choudhary, the journey is not about distance alone but about purpose.

His ultimate goal is to scale Mount Everest in 2026 and unfurl the Tricolour at the summit, symbolising determination, national pride, and the power of disciplined living.

Alongside cycling, Choudhary has launched an ambitious green initiative to plant one lakh saplings across India. So far, nearly 30,000 saplings have already been planted through plantation drives organised along his route.

These efforts underline his belief that physical fitness and environmental stewardship must go hand in hand for sustainable nation-building.

During his stay, Choudhary met Mridul Yadav, District Commissioner of Silchar, at his office chamber and shared insights into his journey and vision.

As part of his schedule, he will participate in a plantation programme at Government Girls M.P. School, Silchar, on December 23 at 11 am, further reinforcing his environmental message.

Addressing young people, Choudhary urged them to adopt healthy habits, discipline, and the courage to dream big. He said his mission is to inspire youth towards fitness, road safety, environmental care, and nation-building.

“I want them to dream as high as Everest,” he said, summarising the spirit behind his extraordinary journey.

Pappu Ram Choudhary’s arrival in Cachar is more than a sporting milestone—it is a reminder of how individual determination can inspire collective responsibility. With an Everest dream ahead and thousands of saplings already planted, his journey continues to leave a lasting impact across India.
