On Friday morning, a shocking discovery was made at Silchar Central Jail, Assam. The body of Pintu Rajput, a prisoner accused of cattle lifting, was found hanging with a cloth in his cell. Rajput, a resident of Kanchanpur area, had been arrested 10 days ago by police from Silchar National Highway Patrol Post following allegations of theft. He was later sent to jail by court order.
