Date:

India’s Operation Brahma continues relief efforts in Myanmar after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake, delivering aid, medical teams, and rescue support.

India’s humanitarian mission, Operation Brahma, remains in full swing to support Myanmar after the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake. The disaster has caused widespread destruction, claiming over 1,700 lives and leaving thousands injured. In response, India has mobilized its navy, army, and air force to provide vital assistance.

Two Indian Navy ships, INS Karmuk and LCU 52, are en route to Yangon with 30 tonnes of disaster relief supplies, including food, medicines, and emergency kits. Earlier, INS Satpura and INS Savitri delivered 40 tonnes of aid materials. The Indian Army has deployed a 118-member field hospital team, while the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) continues rescue operations.

India’s commitment as a regional first responder is evident, with five relief flights already landing in Myanmar, delivering 60 tonnes of supplies. Focused efforts are being directed toward Mandalay, one of the worst-hit regions. Operation Brahma reflects India’s pledge to assist its neighbor during this crisis.
