BJP candidates filed nominations for Zilla Parishad and Anchalik Panchayat elections in Cachar district, aiming for Assam Panchayat Election
BJP candidates filed their nominations for Zilla Parishad and Anchalik Panchayat elections in Cachar district on Thursday. The nomination process took place in areas under Barkhola, Dholai, and Silchar constituencies. BJP leaders, including Minister Kaushik Roy, MP Parimal Suklabaidya, and MLAs Dipayan Chakraborty and Nihar Ranjan Das, were present during the filing process.
The party has fielded candidates for all 25 Zilla Parishad seats and 162 Anchalik Panchayat seats in the district. BJP will contest 23 Zilla Parishad seats, while its ally AGP will contest two. For Anchalik Panchayat seats, AGP will field candidates in 15, and BJP will contest the remaining 47.
BJP leaders expressed confidence in their development initiatives under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister, believing these efforts will resonate with voters. They anticipate strong support and a decisive victory in the elections.
The nomination process saw enthusiastic participation from BJP supporters at various locations, including the district administration office and government schools in Silchar.
