Train Cancellations in Assam Affect 33 Services After Landslide

A massive landslide has triggered widespread train cancellations in Assam, causing major disruptions in rail connectivity across the region. The Northeast Frontier Railway’s Lumding Division has confirmed that 17 trains were completely cancelled, 15 were stopped mid-route, and one train was rescheduled following damage near New Haflong and Jatinga Lampui.

According to an official circular issued late at night on June 24, at 11:45 PM, the division confirmed that continued disruptions due to landslides have made travel unsafe along the route. This is the most significant cancellation update since the landslide struck on June 23.
