Silchar, Cachar: A horrific road accident occurred on Sunday night at approximately 7:00 PM near Naxibali Lane on Silchar’s Satsang Ashram Road, leaving three people seriously injured.
According to reports, a fast-moving car bearing registration number AS 11 Y-2696 lost control and violently collided with an electric e-rickshaw. The impact was severe, resulting in critical injuries to the e-rickshaw driver, one of its passengers, and a woman who was inside the car.
Following the collision, local residents rushed to the scene immediately. They swiftly rescued the injured individuals and transported them to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
Tragically, the driver of the car responsible for the accident fled the scene shortly after the crash, making it a hit-and-run case.
Upon receiving news of the incident, the police arrived at the location. Authorities have seized both the damaged car and the e-rickshaw from the site. An official investigation has been launched to determine the precise cause of the accident and to apprehend the absconding car driver.
