Passenger train services through the Lumding–Badarpur hill section will continue to remain disrupted on Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, as Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) continues restoration work following track damage near New Harangajao station.
According to NFR’s latest corrected operational Bulletin-8, three train services have been cancelled, while seven train services have been rescheduled during the period. Passengers travelling to and from Barak Valley, Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur are advised to check the revised schedule before commencing their journey.

- 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express

- 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express
Passengers holding confirmed tickets for cancelled trains may claim refunds as per Railway rules.

Passenger Advisory
Northeast Frontier Railway has advised passengers to:
- Check the latest train running status through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or Railway Helpline 139 before leaving for the station.
- Reach the station according to the revised departure time, especially for trains rescheduled to late-night or early-morning hours.
- Keep an eye on further announcements, as restoration work in the New Harangajao section is still in progress and operational changes may be updated
